About Us
I am Estela Guerra, founder of Math Your Way. I have been an adjunct Math Professor at Ohlone College for over 16 years. Prior to this, I was a full-time tenured professor at Las Positas Community College and a math instructor at Cal State East Bay. My teaching journey began at the Community College I attended, where I tutored and graded, and continued at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where I facilitated lower division math courses. Teaching part-time has allowed me to balance my passion for education with being a mother. I have a talent for making challenging math concepts accessible. I continue to grow professionally through ongoing coursework, ensuring I stay up to date with the latest curriculum. My involvement as a room parent and as a tutor in my children’s schools has further enriched my teaching approach. I hope to bring this approach and my experience to all those seeking enrichment in mathematics.
Through one-on-one meetings, we hope to bridge the gap between various abstract math concepts and help students overcome their challenges in math.
